Worship & Destroy is a contemporary response to Simone De Beauvoir's philosophical study of women The Second Sex. Worship & Destroy is a portrait of a young woman caught up in a labyrinth of contrasts. Hovering between fantasy & reality, Tiwa's journey to make sense of her world becomes subject to a maelstrom of demands and desires including alienation and heritage. This short film offers an oneiric, staccato vision of identity and the construction of the self, imagining moments from multiple cultures and histories.
